Has anyone else recently hit the “nothing is comfy, nothing fits” stage or pregnancy, or is it just me?
The thought of needing to buy maternity clothing always sends a small lump to my throat: needing to spend money on clothing that will only fit me for a few months? During a cost of living crisis? Eeck!
That’s why we thought we’d pull together a quick inspiration post of bump friendly fashion: clothes that will last you during the remainder of your pregnancy and beyond!
Dungarees & Jumpsuits
A firm favourite is always going to be the dungaree/jumpsuit. The beauty of these is that you have the non-chaffing joy of trousers, whilst not putting the pressure on the bump that a waistband does. Below are a few of my favourites!
Floaty dresses
Anyone else thankful the shirred top dresses continue to be “in”? With floaty skirts that fall from the rib cage, these offer comfort and fit right the way through pregnancy. Layer with cardigans, sweaters, button up shirts, and wear with socks & boots for cooler weather.

Bodycon dresses
On the flip side, stretchy fitted dresses can be just the ticket when you want to show off the bump in all its bumpin’ glory! I love to wear mine with a cropped sweatshirt and trainers for an effortless, on the go look!

Bike shorts & oversized tees / sweaters
Did someone say bump friendly fashion and stretch? Yes please! High-waist bike shorts are a win in my book. Yes, they’ll slowly become less high-waisted as the bump grows, but they will fit right the way through and keep you comfy during those warmer months.
