The Summer holidays are officially here and as parents we know all too well how hard it is to come up with fresh and fun ideas to keep the kids entertained. It can be incredibly expensive to plan lots of big family days out so we have put together a list of 50 fun and cheap summer bucket list ideas. Ranging from camping, joining in with a beach clean to tie-dying t-shirts, there is something for every age!
- Make S’mores

- Watch a movie outdoors
- Random acts of kindness
- Walk barefoot on the grass
- Go camping – the garden counts!
- Try geo-caching
- Make fruit smoothie ice pops
- Paint rocks then hide for someone else to find
- Join a beach clean
- Make daisy chains
- Have a water fight
- Visit your local library
- Make wildflower crowns
- Go rock pooling
- Climb a tree
- Grow your own mushrooms
- Minibeast hunt
- Visit the zoo
- Visit an outdoor sculpture park
- Bake a new dish as a family
- Plant a herb garden
- Visit a pick it yourself farm…
- … and then make jam!
- Family board game night
- Fly a kite
- Write postcards to friends and family
- Play Pooh sticks
- Make ice cream floats
- Have a breakfast picnic
- Learn how to skim rocks on a lake/river
- Collect sea shells
- Make Sun Tea
- Find a local car boot sale and trawl for treasure!

So many great ideas on this list. I am not a mother but am an aunt to an adventurous 6 years old niece, so I am sure I will be able to do some of these with her. I am sure she would be more than up for going for ice cream haha!
